Woodlawn Elementary School, Alexandrai, VA joined CHALK4PEACE for the third year.
Lucky is this school as they have Marielle Mariano, the East Coast CHALK4PEACE Coordinator,
who has launched more than two dozen C4P sites, designed a TEACH PEACE Lesson Plan, held
Fundraisers at ARTOMATIC and BUSBOYS AND POETS and photographed most of the many events
she has attended over the years. All this while she teaches at both Woodlawn and Groveton Elementary Schools.
She is truly one of the global champions of CHALK4PEACE. Her C4P colleague at Woodlawn is Angela Gross,
a most articulate spokesperson for the teaching of peace. Their students are shining examples
of young artists who practice peace as a way of life.
